Privacy Policy

We built Svair to make software, not to collect data. We'd rather know less about you than more.

What we collect

When we set up your account, we need your name and your phone number. Your phone number is how you sign in. It isn't a marketing list.

We store what you ask us to store: Tethr's patients, clinics, notes and attachments; Authr's books, pictures and your profile picture, if you add one. That's the product, so it would be odd not to.

Authr also keeps a rough name for each device you're signed in on, like “Safari on iPhone”, so you can tell them apart on your account page. It never keeps your browser's full details, and the name is deleted when that sign-in ends.

Like any website, our servers see technical details such as your IP address, browser and the errors that occur. We use them to keep things running and secure.

When you write to us

The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the product your message is about and the message itself.

It reaches us as an email in our own inbox. The website doesn't keep a copy, and you aren't added to any mailing list.

We use these details only to reply and help with what you asked, by email, phone or WhatsApp. If you're asking about a product, that conversation is also where we'll talk about price.

We keep the conversation for as long as it helps us help you. Ask us to delete it and we will.

What we send you

Very little. Neither product sends marketing email or SMS. Authr sends nothing at all. Tethr sends a morning and an evening brief to your own device, and only if you turn notifications on.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data.

We don't build advertising profiles.

We don't buy information about you from data brokers.

We don't use your content to train AI models.

Who can see your data

Only the people who build Svair, and only when you ask for help or something needs fixing. To help, we can view your account read-only: we can see what you see, but we can't change anything. Every time we do, it's logged.

On Authr, “what you see” includes your drafts and stand-ins. Each look lasts an hour at most, starts with a written reason, and can't download your books.

Third parties

We rely on a few providers for hosting, storage and email. They process data only to provide those services. They don't own it and can't use it for anything else.

Cookies

Tethr and Authr use a cookie to keep you signed in.

Authr has a few more, all its own. One remembers which page a reader was on. One remembers whether you like a book's pages as a list or a grid. One marks a browser that has signed in to your account before, so a stranger guessing at your number can't lock you out of it. Two more last only while you set up your account or let a new device in. None of them follow you anywhere else.

This website uses none. No advertising cookies, no tracking, and no cookie banner, because there's nothing to ask you about.

What stays on your device

Authr keeps the pages you've read recently on your device, so they open without a connection: the words, not the pictures. A page you read while signed in stops opening offline once that sign-in ends, and signing out removes every saved page at once.

Words you type while the connection is down wait in your browser until they're sent. On a shared computer, let them send, then sign out when you're done.

Your work

It belongs to you. You can export it whenever you want, in formats other software can open. Delete your account and it's gone. See our Cancellation Policy for exactly what that means.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Write to hello@svair.organd we'll help.

Security

No system is perfect, but we work hard at ours. Our Securitypage says how, including what we haven't done yet.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you before the change takes effect.

One last thing

A privacy policy is a promise written down. It's worth exactly what the company behind it is worth.

So read it, keep it and hold us to it.
