But software companies make promises about the future every day and sometimes the future has other plans.

So here's ours.

Your work belongs to you

Always.

You can export your data whenever you want. No support ticket. No approval. No fee.

Your work should be able to outlive our software if it has to.

We'd prefer you stay because the software is useful.

Not because leaving is difficult.

If Svair ever shuts down

If we can help it, we won't disappear overnight.

We'll give as much notice as reasonably possible and provide a straightforward way to export everything you've stored with us.

We won't sell your data as part of winding down the business.

If you've paid in advance for time you can't use, we'll refund the unused portion where we can.

If Svair is acquired

We built Svair because we wanted to build software, not because we wanted to sell a company.

But if ownership ever changes, we'll tell you before it affects your account.

You'll have the opportunity to export your data and decide whether you'd like to stay.

Open formats

An export that only our software can read isn't an export. It's a hostage note with extra steps.

So every Svair product aims to hand your work back in a format other people and other software can actually open.

Promises are cheap to make when things are going well and expensive to keep when they aren't. That's exactly why we wrote these down now, while nothing is at stake.

If the day ever comes, we'll do what we reasonably can to keep the people who depend on our software running.
